Librarian
I am an 1985 graduate of Sayre High School, home of the Eagles. Once an eagle always an eagle! I attended Oklahoma State University for three years and transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1990.
I have a bachelor degree in accounting from SWOSU. In 1998 I finished my master's degree in Library Media from SWOSU.
This is my 25th year of teaching! This will be my fifteenth year at Weatherford Public Schools. I have had the priviledge at working at all three elementaries and the middle school. I thoroughly enjoy working in the library.
My first teaching job was in Cheyenne, Oklahoma as the business teacher in 1995. I also taught in Fairland and Miami, Oklahoma. For seven years, I was the computer teacher/librarian for Hollis Public Schools before moving to Weatherford.
I have been married to my childhood sweetheart, Ron Smith, for thirty six years! He is the gold academy principal for Clinton Public Schools and semi-retired. We have two daughters, Adrian and Mikayla.
In my spare time, I of course enjoy reading! Sewing and crafting are a few of my other hobbies. My family loves to go on trips together. We are looking forward to traveling to new destinations.
