I graduated from UTEP with a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in the summer of 2017.
I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2014 at which time I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon graduating I obtained a 2nd grade teaching position in Garden City, Kansas. After working at this job for two years I moved to Oklahoma and finished up my Master’s degree. This year (2021) will be my 5th year teaching 4th grade at West Elementary.
I married my husband Alex Anders in April of 2018. We welcomed our first son, Elias, in January of 2019 and our second son, Varrick, in December of 2020. We also have two dogs. One is a maltipoo named Ellie and the other is a terrier mix named Ginger. My husband works on wind turbines in Hammon, OK and my two boys currently go to daycare here in town.
During my free time I enjoy reading and playing games with my family and friends. I also like spending time outside watching my boys play when the weather is nice. Some other things I like to do ocasionally include: indoor rock climbing, going for bike rides, hiking, watching movies, and going to escape rooms.
